(July 17, 2006) — It is that time again when football fans can start to get excited about the upcoming year as teams have reported to training camp for three to four weeks of preparation for the season.
The free time spent by players during camp is usually reserved for taking naps or continually studying the playbook, but some players like to find other activities to get away from everything. One of those things to do would be to answer their fan mail that is sent to them during camp.
Even though NFL training camps are much shorter than baseball’s spring training, it is still possible to write a letter to them during camp. Be sure to send out the letter soon since most teams break camp somewhere around the middle of August.
Some teams train at their team headquarters, so sending out a request soon is not as important as it is for the team that practice away from their complex. Be sure to address the envelope with the player’s name and team name so it can get to the requested person.
