Mounted Memories to host two-day Mets reunion show

Mounted Memories will partner with MAB Celebrity Sports to host a two-day memorabilia show Nov. 8-9, celebrating three of the most notable years in New York Mets history – the team’s first squad from 1962, and its World Series championship teams of 1969 and 1986. The event will take place at the Crowne Plaza in Secaucus, N.J.

“We’ve been fortunate to attract at least 65 players from all three teams who are enthusiastic about the reunion with their teammates and loyal fans,” said Mitch Adelstein, president of Mounted Memories.

Among the players from the original team are Jim Hickman, Ed Kranepool, Don Zimmer and Joe Pignatano. The 1969 team is represented by Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman, Ron Swoboda, Jerry Grote, Cleon Jones, Ken Boswell and many others. From 1986, Dwight Gooden, Darryl Strawberry, Keith Hernandez, Ray Knight, Gary Carter, Jesse Orosco, Kevin Mitchell and Len Dykstra are among those who will participate. Fans can also purchase admission to a VIP cocktail party Nov. 8, where they can mingle with many of the players.

Also on hand will be select Mounted Memories items from the final season at Shea Stadium, including dirt from the field and bases and balls used this past year, all mounted, framed and authenticated.
