Press Pass to honor opening of Nascar Hall

In conjunction with the Grand Opening of the NASCAR Hall of Fame on May 11 in downtown Charlotte, , Press Pass Inc. has announced that it will help commemorate the occasion by producing a special 100-card set of Hall of Fame Inserts to be dispersed in its NASCAR products throughout the year. The Inserts will be divided into four different subsets: History of NASCAR, Milestone Moments, Glory Road and Class of 2010, and will pay tribute to the rich history of NASCAR and all of those who have helped make the sport what it has become today.

The HOF Inserts will also focus on the inaugural class of inductees who will be inducted in a special ceremony on May 23. The first HOF classs includes NASCAR Founder and first president Bill France, Sr., seven-time NASCAR Premier Series Champion Richard Petty, NASCAR Chair, President & CEO Bill France, Jr. seven-time NASCAR Premier Series Champion Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and legendary driver/owner Junior Johnson.

“The opening of the NASCAR Hall of Fame is huge not only for the city of Charlotte, but more importantly, for the sport of NASCAR and its extremely loyal fan base,” said Tom Farrell, Vice President of Brand Management at Press Pass. “We wanted to do something special with the opening to highlight just how monumental of an event this is. By dispersing the cards throughout all of our NASCAR products, we will continue to highlight the Hall and its inaugural class throughout the year.”

Press Pass NASCAR products that will include the special Inserts include Press Pass, Element, Eclipse, Premium, Stealth and Main Event.  Press Pass and Element each included ten different Inserts from the History of NASCAR and Class of 2010 subsets while Eclipse delivered 15 cards from the Milestone Moments and Class of 2010 subsets. Premium and Stealth will each include 20 cards from the Class of 2010 subset while Main Event will include the remaining 25 cards of the 100-card set.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame will hold its Grand Opening Ceremony on Tuesday, May 11 from 9-10 a.m. No ticket is necessary to attend the ceremony, but visitors who wish to tour the Hall that day will need to purchase a ticket. A free community event celebrating the grand opening will occur outside on the Ceremonial Plaza and will include driver appearances, concerts and autograph sessions from NASCAR current and former racers and special guests including: Kurt Busch, Richard Childress, Brian France, Kevin Harvick, Mike Helton, Junior Johnson, Kasey Kahne and Richard Petty, among others.

A major attraction for the city of Charlotte, the NASCAR Hall of Fame will honor the history and heritage of NASCAR. It is designed to educate and entertain both race fans and non-fans alike, as it will include artifacts, interactive exhibits, a 275-person theater and a Hall of Honor.
