NFL’s Class of 2007 rookies intriguing to collectors

While it will be hard to match the star-studded draft of last year, the 2007 NFL rookie class has the ingredients to be another class that catches the eye of collectors.

The 2006 draft class had the star power at the top, but the 2007 class could actually be deeper in terms of overall talent. Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn, LSU signal caller JaMarcus Russell and Georgia Tech receiver Calvin Johnson are expected to be among the top selections in the April 28 draft, with Oklahoma’s Adrian Peterson, Cal’s Marshawn Lynch, Ohio State’s Ted Ginn Jr., Clemson’s Gaines Adams, Arkansas’ Jamaal Anderson and Michigan’s Alan Branch expected to be first-day picks and welcome additions to the collecting hobby.
