SportsFest moving to new Chicago-area facility

Organizers of the annual SportsFest collectibles show have announced the event will have a new home: the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center in Schaumburg, Ill. The new location is roughly 12 miles west of the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, where SportsFest has been held since it made its debut in Chicago in 1999.

The Schaumburg Convention Center opened earlier this year and features more than 99,000 square feet of exhibition space.

“The new facility offers a variety of advantages for exhibitors and attendees,” said Jeff Pozorski, sports group publisher for F+W Publications. “There are no parking fees for exhibitors, even those who pull a trailer behind their personal vehicles. The drayage and freight handling charges are lower. There’s also free storage for up to 30 days prior to the show. It’s a beautiful new facility and is just as convenient to get to for the general public.”

Exhibitors who had a reserved floor space for the 2007 SportsFest will be contacted regarding their table location in the new facility. Exhibitors will be contacted in the order of their lottery number they received for selecting their booth location.

The 2007 SportsFest event will take place June 8-10. For exhibitor information, call (877) 746-9757.
